Purpose of group:
Communal discernment about consociate commitment of candidates
To form a small community grounded in CSJ charism
Norms:
All group members…
Make a commitment to spiritual development, prayer and reflection
Speak from one’s own experience and feelings. That is not theoretical discourse but personal sharing.
Reflect upon and post at least one comment on the topic for the month every month.
Respect self and one another
May respond to other group member’s reflections from one’s own experience and feelings
Hold confidentiality within the group and Membership Team.
Group blog address is for group members only, DO NOT GIVE THE ADDRESS TO OTHERS.
As part of the candidate discernment process, Carol reports to the Membership Team regarding the discernment process.
Preparation for individual sharing:
Center, become aware of God’s presence
Be open to the grace to see what God sees
Allow feelings, intuitions, understandings wash over you
Blog Group Process:
At the beginning of each month Carol will post a new topic and question.
Each of the group members writes a reflection on the topic. The reflections may be up to a few paragraphs long.
Replying to one another’s reflections as new postings is an option.
To write to the blog group, the process is as follows.
1) In your internet browser, go to “globalsharingtheheart.blogspot.com”. I suggest you make it one of your favorites,
2.) Click “sign in” at the upper right hand corner.
3) Sign in with your usual email address and your gmail password.
4) Title the new posting “Reflection on …. “. If you are responding to another group member’s posting, title yours “In Response to …’s Reflection”
5.) Write your reflection or response.
6) Click “publish posting”.
At that point your posting will be on the blog page and will be emailed to the group members.
When you receive a posting through email, DO NOT click “reply” to the email. GO TO THE BLOG TO MAKE A RESPONSE. That way the whole group will be included in the conversation and the group will have a written stream of conversation for reference.
